6:00 PM — 1 hour until the Annual Purge begins
George: Hey sis, how’s it going????
Mary: Hey George, I’m good, just getting things ready…
George: You know you don’t have to do this… you can come to my place…
Mary: I know… but Bryan’s dead set on it… and he doesn’t want your help. Besides, there’s no time for me to get there now.
George: This is a terrible idea… it’s not a game. Tonight, you can’t be too careful.
Mary: Don’t worry, the place is secure.
George: Not as secure as being with me
Mary: I know… but you know how Bryan is…
George: Screw Bryan. Just come!
Mary: George, we’ve talked about this a million times… I love him… and even if I don’t agree with him on everything… this is how it’s gotta be.
George: I still don’t get what you see in that hippie loser
Mary: He gives me love, understanding, and kindness
George: Alright, when are you heading out?
Mary: In 10 minutes
George: At least send me your location?
Mary: You know I can’t… Bryan said we can’t tell anyone… especially you…
George: Seriously???? You’re my sister!
Mary: I know… but Bryan doesn’t trust you
George: Fine, at least promise me that if you feel threatened or in danger, you’ll tell me right away, okay?
Mary: Okay okay, little bro, I will.
George: How many people are going? You can at least tell me that.
Mary: I think there’s five of us total
George: Do you know the others?
Mary: Only two… the rest are friends of a friend of Bryan’s.
