In a dental clinic in the city of Frerex worked a dentist. He carried out his work like any other day. He was known and respected for the quality of his work. But he hid a dark secret: when no one was watching, and he had the opportunity with patients under his care, he took pleasure in examining healthy teeth. When he anesthetized them, supposedly to work on their mouths, he would instead put them to sleep and extract their healthiest molars, and even their tongues if he could. He was involved in the black market, selling these body parts for a high price. For patients from whom he extracted something, he used a lethal sedative that left no traces. The dentist was clever and cunning, with everything meticulously planned. His office contained a secret door leading to a passageway, and at the end was a room he used at night to methodically and cleanly dismember bodies. He would sever arms and legs to sell; he ran a lucrative black-market operation. He knew how to choose his victims well: he selected people who came alone or lived without companions, having researched them beforehand. He would then incinerate the rest of the bodies. He continued this way for several years. Although the news reported mysterious disappearances, no one suspected him. A detective had been investigating the cases for some time and discovered a common thread that led him to the dentist's clinic. He began surveillance and noticed that patients who entered alone late in the day never came out. So they set a trap: the detective went undercover as a patient. While in the consultation room, he discreetly observed and saw, reflected in a slightly ajar cabinet, the dentist preparing a different syringe—the one he used to sedate his victims. Just as the dentist was about to administer the anesthesia, the detective seized his chance during a moment of distraction, grabbed the dentist's hand, drew his gun, and at that moment, other officers stormed in and arrested him. The police were horrified to discover the secret room and the human remains: skulls, bones, and fragments of bodies. The dentist was sentenced to death by electric chair. But just as they were about to carry out the execution, he began to laugh maniacally. Suddenly, the lights in the room went out, and when they came back on… the dentist had vanished. To this day, he remains at large, whereabouts unknown. He may have even altered his appearance.
