The diary of an insomniac who dives into the dark web looking for what no one should ever find. And she found it
Tuesday, April 8th
Sahah: I'm starting this diary because my therapist says writing helps with insomnia
Sahah: I've been sleeping two hours a night for four months now
Sahah: My name is Sahah, I'm 27, I design book covers from my apartment
Sahah: I live alone, I don't go out, I don't see anyone
Sahah: At night, my heart rate won't drop below 90, and I end up reading weird stuff online
Sahah: Tonight I downloaded Tor
Sahah: Just curiosity, nothing more
Sahah: I wanted to see what's underneath the regular internet
Wednesday, April 9th
Sahah: Disappointing
Sahah: Mostly clunky drug shops and fake ID scams
Sahah: Conspiracy theory forums, show-off hackers, bad jokes
Sahah: I thought I'd find something messed up, but all I find is teenagers posing
Sahah: Still, I didn't close the tab
Friday, April 11th
Sahah: On some forum, someone asked about red rooms
Sahah: Those legendary live streams where someone gets tortured
Sahah: Viewers pay in crypto and vote on what happens
Sahah: Twenty replies said it's a myth, an urban legend, technically impossible
Sahah: One reply said: if you ask nicely, they'll show you
Sahah: That one got deleted within five minutes
Sahah: But the user who posted it DMed me privately
Saturday, April 12th
Sahah: We chatted for half an hour
