Charles is home alone when his neighbor texts him asking for help. But something doesn't add up
Martha: Charles, you awake?
Charles: Yeah, what's up Martha?
Martha: I need a favor
Martha: I'm locked out, left my keys inside
Martha: Can you come down and buzz me in?
Charles: Sure, be right down
Martha: Wait
Martha: Never mind the door downstairs
Martha: I'm already up, I'm on your landing
Martha: Can you just open your door? I just need to use your phone to call a locksmith
Charles: But you're texting me on WhatsApp
Charles: Can't you call from your cell?
Martha: My battery's dead, I've only got enough for texts
Martha: Please Charles, it's freezing out here
Charles: Alright, alright, coming
Charles gets up and walks towards his apartment door.
Charles: Hold on Martha, one thing
Charles: I checked the peephole, I don't see anyone
Charles: The landing is empty
Martha: That's because I'm sitting on the floor, right by the door
Martha: You can't see me 'cause I'm right under the peephole
Martha: Just open it
Charles: Martha, this is kinda weird
Charles: Say something out loud so I can hear you
Complete silence on the other side of the door.
